Jenkins swaying again

Winona lineman Colton Jenkins grew up a Mississippi State fan, but after going through the early recruiting process, in-state rival Ole Miss jumped into the lead. He camped in Oxford earlier this summer and things continued to lean Ole Miss' way, but then he ended his summer tour in Starkville last weekend and had such a good time the Bulldogs jumped back up the list. Where do things stand now and when does he plan to make a final decision?

"The camp went really well," he commented on his latest experience. "It was special for me because it was my first time really pass blocking. I've been playing tight end for awhile now, so I usually don't pass block, but I learned a lot of technique to take back with me for my senior season.

"Coach (J.B.) Grimes took the time to show me what I was doing wrong to help me with it, so that way when we went one on one I was performing better."

So what did the camp do for his decision-making process?

"I'm considering Mississippi State high, and I went deeper looking when I was there," he said. "When I was talking to coach Grimes and coach Croom I felt like I was talking to the coaches here back home. I mean I felt comfortable talking to them and also I feel like I'd have a better chance of playing at Mississippi State.'
