LSU gets a kicker for 2007

LSU special teams coach Bradley Dale Peveto coached the Tigers special teams to one of the nation's best in 2005 and it is expected to be much of the same in 2006. During the spring and summer, Peveto has been looking towards the future as he has scouted kickers from coast-to-coast.

Last week, he decided on which guy he wanted to extend an official scholarship offer too and that young man accepted.

Placekicker Andrew Crutchfield (6-0, 180) of Northwest Cabarrus in Concord, North Carolina attended Miles camp in June.

"He did very well at LSU's camp and they told him then that they were very interested but that they weren't going to make a decision until the end of the summer," Andrew's father Kevin Crutchfield said.
