NU Notes: Players shocked by Beck's decision

According to several different players on the Nebraska football team no one saw any signs that quarterback Harrison Beck was unhappy in Lincoln.


Following Monday's full-padded practice inside the Hawk Indoor Center, Beck's official departure from the Husker football team was the major topic of discussion.


"We were shocked when it happened," sophomore QB Joe Ganz said. "We didn't see it coming at all. There was no real lead-up or whispers that he might be leaving or he might stay. We thought everything was fine and then all of a sudden he took off, so we were all shocked as a team."


Sophomore running back Marlon Lucky said it's something you can't let get in the way of your day-to-day work.


"We have to move forward as a team and we have to think about what's going to happen with the other quarterbacks," Lucky said.
