Lethal combination in Erie prospects

Erie (Pa.) Strong Vincent running back Donte Harden rushed for 1,530 yards and 18 touchdowns in his junior season and quarterback/athlete Maurice Williams finished with 11 passing touchdowns and he also ran for nine scores.

The combination of Harden and Williams is one of the most dangerous in western Pennsylvania and both are receiving numerous Division I looks.

Williams, rated the 12th-best player in the Pennsylvania Top 40 of 2007, has Georgia, Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia as his top four schools. UConn, Maryland, Michigan State and Syracuse have also shown interest.

Harden has offers from Buffalo, Ken State, Ohio and New Hampshire. He said UConn, Pittsburgh and others have been in touch.
