QB had busy summer

Back early in the recruiting season quarterback David Potts (6-3, 190, 4.7) from Monrovia, Calif., impressed onlookers at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles back in April with one of the best performances at the camp.

What made his performance even more impressive is there were a lot of quality quarterbacks at the camp and Potts more than held his own.

Though Potts doesn't have any offer as of yet, he is being looked at by many west coast schools.

"Washington, Arizona, Colorado and Utah are recruiting me the hardest," Potts said. "I'm also hearing from Arizona State and Nevada."

"Cal was very impressed with me," Potts said. "They made me their senior MVP quarterback of their camp."

As a junior, Potts was selected League Back of the Year as a junior after throwing for 1,475 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 253 yards out of the spread offense.
