WVU in McCoy's top four
About the time he left middle school, four-star offensive lineman Ernest McCoy's body started to change -- dramatically. And though his speed never left, he is now a 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive tackle for one of the nation's Top 10 high school programs, Glades Central High of Belle Glades, Fla.
While Glades is best known for burner Deonte Thompson, who some believe is the best receiver in the country, it also depends on blockers like McCoy and a handful of other highly recruited youngsters to keep the rush off quarterback Bryan Mann and let Thompson and three-star prospect Tarus McKinley shake loose.
McCoy is focusing on Miami, LSU, WVU and South Florida, which have presented him with written offers.
