Weight and see

They did faster. They did stronger.

As for bigger, the third starter in college football's off-season trinity, the Irish linebackers took a pass. The result leaves Notre Dame with a defensive upgrade in speed, but when it comes taking on blocks, the Irish linebackers could face a tough proposition this season.

Middleman Maurice Crum, listed at 225 pounds, already knows the painful part about moving inside from his free range spot on the perimeter last season. Getting a face full of Dan Santucci or Bob Morton, both listed at 300 pounds, means Crum tables thoughts of making plays for making the best of a bad situation.
