Lambert settles into new role
Terrail Lambert hadn't slept. Not that anyone would have noticed last weekend while the junior cornerback bounced off the team hotel's walls before the Irish headed to Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Lambert had good reason for frayed nerves. Not only was he staring down the first extensive playing time of his career, he knew All-American wide out Calvin Johnson waited across the line of scrimmage. While most players keep the butterflies in their stomachs down, Lambert needed a net.
Moments before boarding the bus on Saturday afternoon, Lambert ran into defensive line coach Jappy Oliver. Oliver didn't offer much more than clichéd advice, but every little bit helped.
