Tiger corners ready this time around
It does not take long for David Overstreet to dredge up memories of Missouri's last matchup with New Mexico.
"Hank Baskett hitting us for too much," said the senior safety when asked what he remembered from last year's game against the Lobos. "He got us for too many yards. That's what I remember."
Well, it would be hard to forget. Baskett had a record-setting night against the Tigers. By the time it was done, the Lobo wide receiver had 210 yards and three touchdowns. Missouri had no answer. Or, if the Tigers had an answer, it was on the sidelines, not on the field.
"I ran eight plays. That's what I remember about it," said now sophomore cornerback Domonique Johnson. "I ran eight plays and I was begging to get out there to cover Baskett, but I couldn't get out there. Coach wouldn't put me out there. He said I didn't have enough experience. That's what I remember about it.
