Top Illinois quarterback commits to Hoosiers

If there was any concern that Indiana football Coach Terry Hoeppner's recent tribulations would negatively affect recruiting, then yesterday's commitment of Illinois quarterback Teddy Schell had to be encouraging.

Schell, considered the top quarterback in Illinois by many this year, had decided that he wanted to become a Hoosier this past summer after an unofficial visit. He decided to wait until this Tuesday, however, but when he got home from school yesterday he was greeted with some disturbing news.

Despite the turmoil, Schell he never considered backing off his original plan of committing to the Hoosier football program. His faith in Hoeppner as a person and a fighter never made it an issue.
