Calvin getting ready to set trips

Three-star wide receiver/safety Michael Calvin (6-3, 190, 4.48) from San Lorenzo, Calif., first grabbed the attention of after a stellar performance at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto last May and his stock has been on an upward trend ever since.

If Calvin's first game is any indication on how the rest of the season goes then this young man and his team will have an outstanding season.

"We are off to a good start," Calvin said. "We beat Dublin, Calif., last Friday 29-26."

"I had had six catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns," Calvin said. "We play Hayward (Calif.) Tennyson tonight.

On the recruiting trail Calvin has offers from Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, and San Jose State.

Calvin is the member of the California top 100 team for the class of 2007 landing as the Golden State's No.59 prospect at any position.
