BOULDER, Colo. - The interior of the Buffaloes' defensive line was one of the team's biggest question marks going into the season. But it has turned out to be one of the strengths of a unit that ranks third in the Big 12 in rush defense through four games.
Against Georgia's well respected ground game last Saturday, Colorado held the Bulldogs to just 54 yards rushing.
"Coming into the season, everybody kept saying that the defensive line was going to be the weak link of our defense and the defensive tackles were a question mark but I never said that," defensive line coach explained.
"I'm very pleased with those guys; they played a tremendous game last week. But their play this season hasn't exceeded my expectations; it has just exceeded everybody else's expectations."
