Hawaiian lineman eager for comeback
Three-star defensive lineman/offensive lineman Matthew Masifilo (6-3, 265, 4.8) from `Ewa Beach (Hawai'i) Campbell senior season was slowed down due to an injury.
When Masifilo was playing he, and his Campbell teammates were off to a 2-0 start and were 0-3 until last Friday Night when Campbell got back on the winning track with a 20-6 victory over Honolulu (Hawai'i) Radford.
It was a must win for Campbell to stay in the playoff hunt and now starting this week Masifilo will be back in action for their playoff run.
The downside of Masifilo's injury is he hasn't been able to play much defensive line like he had hoped and when he returns he will be anchoring the offensive line.
Though Masifilo hasn't seen any action on the gridiron in a month, he is still being recruited by most of the Pac 10.
"Stanford, Cal and Oregon are still my top three," Masifilo said. "Navy is beginning to recruit me heavily, too. I'm getting a lot of packets with handwritten letters from everyone on their coaching staff."
