Floridian tries to move on

Barron Collier standout Matt Clements (6-2, 185) has left his high school team after a dispute with his high school coach, Bill Sparacio, over a missed practice session. After a meeting with their coach, Clements and a teammate cleaned out their lockers.

Clements had been playing quarterback for the Cougars this fall in a spread offense although most schools were recruiting him as a wide receiver, a position he played as a junior.

Prior to this incident Clements had numerous offers including offers from Pitt, South Carolina, Ohio State, West Virginia, Auburn, Clemson, Virginia and Iowa State.
