Having now made unofficial and official visits to Purdue, Hopkinsville (Ky.) Christian County offensive tackle James Shepherd is starting to get things figured out with his recruitment.
A three-star prospect ranked as the No. 5 overall player in the state of Kentucky, Shepherd took an unofficial visit to Purdue over the summer and also attended a junior day in West Lafayette last January, before officially visiting for Purdue's home matchup with Minnesota last weekend.
Shepherd also holds scholarship offers from Western Kentucky and Murray State and is receiving significant interest from Louisville and Middle Tennessee State, but his official visit last weekend has set his mind on the Boilermakers.
