Redshirt year going well for Nate Ness

There were a lot of expectations on junior college transfer Nate Ness when he arrived in Tucson this summer. Early into fall camp, the former El Camino Community College star looked ready to play right away, picking off two passes in the first two days of practice.


However, as camp went on, Dominic Patrick started to receive the bulk of playing time at the free safety position. Patrick eventually became Arizona's starter opposite Michael Johnson, resulting in a position change, and a redshirt year, for Ness.
