Miami defensive end calls Pitt a favorite
Adewale Ojomo, a defensive end out of Hialeah, Fla., made his first-ever trip to Pennsylvania for the Pitt-Rutgers game on Saturday night, and said that his first-ever visit was a good visit.
"Things went real well," Ojomo said. "My host was Greg Romeus, the red shirt defensive end. I got to meet all the players. I had a chance to talk with H.B. Blades too. I saw the town. I really liked Pittsburgh a lot. They are one of my top choices, after this visit."
He didn't feel too far away from home, as he met a lot of current Pitt players from the state of Florida. It wasn't just current Pitt players either. Ojomo recognized a few other guys who were also making a visit to Pittsburgh.
Ojomo is being recruited by Aubrey Hill. He currently has offers from Miami (FL), Ole Miss, N.C. State, Tennessee and West Virginia. He visited N.C. State in September, and will visit Miami, officially, on December 8.
Ojomo said that he would like to make a decision about his college soon. He is in no immediate rush to make a decision, but he doesn't think he'll wait until signing day to make a decision.
"Right now, I am getting things sorted out," Ojomo said. "Things change every minute. It's just basically when the time is right with me I want to make a decision as soon as possible. As soon as I know what's best for me, then I'll make that decision."
Ojomo's Hialeah Thoroughbreds are at 6-2 on the season, and like Pitt, will have a bye week this week. The Thoroughbreds are in District 13-6A, and close out their regular season on Nov. 4 against Miami High in a non-conference game.
Editor's Note: Hialeah beat rival American 21-20 in overtime Thursday night to improve to 6-2.
