McCray has new top three

Everyone is battling for a visit from Florida's four star defensive end D'Angelo McCray.

McCray ended up canceling his official visit with Louisville this past Friday due to having to take a test Friday and said Thursday night that he has a new top three favorites.

"My new top three are Florida, Illinois and Ole Miss, Florida State is right there as well," McCray said. "I still plan on definitely taking an official visit to Ole Miss, maybe as early as next week for the Auburn game or after my senior season is complete."

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound standout defensive end from Jacksonville (FL) recently took a visit to Illinois last week, a trip that shuffled up his favorites somewhat.

"Illinois moved up to two after the visit," McCray said. "They are a young program that's going to be good very soon, just like Ole Miss is going to be. They are two programs which I can go to and help make better right away and be one of the reasons they get better."

According to McCray, Ole Miss Head coach Ed Orgeron always asks about one thing first when he calls.

"First thing he asks is how my school work is going," McCray said. "He is very interested in me as a student first. He told me to focus on my senior season and my school work and that I can come visit whenever is good for me."

McCray has been keeping up with Ole Miss by watching the Rebels on television.

"I have Comcast and I have seen them two or three times," McCray said. "They are getting better and you can tell they are a young team and will be a team to be reckoned with before its all said and done. They are a program headed in the right directions, that's for sure."

McCray has two of his best friends currently playing for the Rebels.

"Ole Miss is one of my favorites and like I said, I plan on taking one of my five visits there," McCray said. "Two of my best friends play there (Mike Hicks and Jamal Harvey). They both love it there."
