Let the QB controversy begin


There is finally a positive buzz surrounding the program.



Between the underachieving offense, an injury-riddled defense and the worst start to a season since Jimmy Carter was in the White House, finding a silver lining with the Seminole football team has been a monumental task. That task got a little easier after Saturday night. Despite suffering another frustrating close loss, the players were surprisingly upbeat and the positive feelings relate directly to the performance of surprise starter Xavier Lee.



In making his first career start, the strong-armed quarterback completed 22 of 36 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards. Even with four dropped passes, a large number of penalties to overcome as well as cold and windy conditions, Lee consistently moved the offense up and down the field Saturday night.
