Louisiana WR looking at visits

Mamou (La.) wide receiver Kendrick Celestine has two official visits in mind and is eyeing a couple of additional programs.

The 5-foot-11, 173-pounder, who is rated as the state of Louisiana's No. 23 overall prospect and the nation's No. 55 wide receiver prospect, will definitely see a Big 12 and a Southeastern Conference campus.

"I set up an official visit for Colorado for the first weekend after we lose in the playoffs," he said. "That's when I am going to visit there."

He will head to the state of Alabama at a later date.

"Auburn is the weekend of Jan. 5 if I am not mistaken," he said. "I have to call coach Greg Knox and confirm."

This season, Celestine has stayed close to home for his unofficial visits.

"I went to the LSU-Kentucky game at LSU," Celestine said. "They aren't really saying too much about an offer. They are waiting to see my senior highlight tape. I'm going to make my senior highlight tape, so I am going to send them my senior highlight tape and them and the University of Miami."
