Barnes wants to play for Davis

CHARLOTTE- Jason Barnes and his Independence High teammates made history Friday night, winning its 103rd consecutive game and securing a seventh consecutive undefeated regular season, with a 30-24 overtime victory over Ryan Houston and Butler.

"We played real good when we had to; it's all about the W," said Barnes after the game, amidst a wild celebration on the field of Charlotte Memorial Stadium.

"We played a very capable team; we were down by 21. That's all that matters; we won the game. The coaches at the half told us, 'We believe you, we believe in the offense." We came out on top, and that's all that matters."
