Deep South edge-rusher lands Clemson offer

Clemson continues to explore the nation in search of pass-rushers. The latest target to land on its board and wind up with a written tender just last week is Byron Clear.


"Thursday they called before our game and talked to my coach," Clear told Tigerillustrated.com in a Sunday evening interview. "I was in class, but my coach and my brother (Brandon Clear) informed me that they were going to offer me. Their head coach (Tommy Bowden) called my coach and informed him of the offer. They said that they were sending the written offer in the mail on Thursday, so it should be here early this week."
