Rob Ashabranner reflects on senior year

For Vanderbilt verbal commit Rob Ashabranner, the 2006 football season for his Cathedral Christian Warriors did not turnout quite the way he thought it would.


The 6-foot-2, 262 pound defensive tackle senior from Beaumont, Texas had to deal with many things, including the death of a teammate as well as a position change as his team finished the season with a disappointing 2-7 season.

"With the death of a teammate combined with injuries, I was moved to quarterback in week four," Ashabranner told VandySports.com on Sunday night. "Starting the season out with injuries at quarterback and slot back really got us started off poorly.
