Recruiting: Dantonio knows how to get the job done

For the past 3 weeks SpartanMag.com has been analyzing what each candidate would bring to the table from a recruiting perspective. Several candidates had positives attributes that would certainly have paid off from a recruiting perspective. However, when it comes down to it, Mark Dantonio might have the best comprhehension of what it takes to make things happen at Michigan State.

Program Familiarity:

Michigan State is a unique program forma recruiting perspective. Coach John L. Smith stated publicly that it took him a while to figure out the landscape and idiosyncrasies that accompany Spartan recruiting.

Coach Dantonio does not have that problem. Being at Michigan State for six years, Coach Dantonio is well aware of what it takes to be successful as a recruiter at Michigan State. He personally recruited some impressive athletes to East Lansing. Dantonio was primarily responsible for a portion of Ohio and Indiana while at Michigan State.

Dantonio knows the type of athlete Michigan State needs to get back to the level when the Spartan were not only competitive, but beating teams like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Notre Dame.
