The need for Speed

Several months ago Florida head football coach Urban Meyer stated that he wanted the Gators to become the fastest team in college football. He got a step closer to achieving that goal on Friday morning with the commitment of four-star athlete Demarcus VanDyke.

Florida and Miami battled for his services over the spring and early summer, before he eventually committed to the Hurricanes during the first week of June. However, after UM suffered through several months of turmoil both on and off the field, he decided in mid October to switch up and instead cast his lot with the Gators.
