Rod had confidence in Brown

MORGANTOWN--Mountaineer coach Rich Rodriguez, his happiest in a week, said he was confident that Jarrett Brown could move the team in lieu of a lost Pat White. He was just waiting for the red-shirt's time.

"We have had confidence in Jarrett that he always could play. It was just a matter of him getting his chance," said the WVU head man Saturday night. "It wasn't that we thought he wasn't ready, he just had to get his chance."

Brown completed 14-of-29 passes with one interception for 244 yards and one touchdown in the 41-39 triple-overtime victory over Rutgers. He threw a 48-yard pass-and-run to Dorrell Jalloh and also ran for a 40-yard score.
