Brandon Collins - offense or defense?

Brenham wide receiver/defensive back Brandon Collins was one of the Horns' last commitments, giving Mack Brown and staff a pledge after an impressive showing at a Longhorn mini-camp in June.

Despite being a "late" commitment (at least as far as Texas' recruiting class is concerned), Collins has said he already feels like part of the Longhorn family, and he got a chance to spend a couple of day swith his future teammates last weekend as part of his official visit.

The 6-foot, 167-pound Collins was one of the state's most productive players on both sides of the ball for Brenham, and it's been believed that he would line up at defensive back for Texas once his Longhorn career begins. While it's still likely that he'll stay on that side of the ball, Collins said the Texas coaches did at least mention the possibility of him playing on offense.
