Potts planning trips to UNLV, others
Monrovia (Calif.) High School senior QB David Potts has confirmed that he will be visiting Las Vegas and the Rebel program on the weekend of Jan. 19, 2007.
"I'm looking forward to the trip," said Potts.
Although UNLV is the only offer Potts has in hand, he has also received interest from Arizona, CSU, Oregon State, Fresno State, Nevada, Idaho State and Utah.
"I'm pretty interested in Nevada and Utah," said Potts, adding, "UNLV is pretty cool too."
After his visit to UNLV, the QB plans on visiting Utah and Nevada, although no visit dates have been set.
"I want to take my visits and get a better feel for the schools I'm interested in," he said.
Potts is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound dual-threat QB who runs a 4.8 40 and has a shuttle-run time of 4.82. Not only is Potts fairly fast for a QB, but he is also strong. The senior posted a squat max of 365 pounds and a bench max of 250 pounds. Toss in a vertical leap of 27 inches, and you have a well-rounded athlete.
