All-American game helps bond Sooners

The experience of going away to college is an important one for many recruits who may not have been too far from home in their young lives. One of the great things about the ever emerging presence of national high school all-star games is yet another chance for players to expand their horizons.

One player who took full advantage of the opportunity last week in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. was long-time Oklahoma commitment Desmond Jackson. The four-star safety got to spend New Year's in a new city, all the while making new friends.
