Orange get White

Syracuse lost a commitment last week as Mark Spinney picked the Boston College Eagles rather than sticking to his word and staying with the Orange. It did not take long for a replacement to give a verbal pledge. Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico offensive tackle Josh White was ready for the job.

The 6-foot-4, 281-pounder who was recruited to Syracuse by quarterbacks coach Phil Earley plans to red shirt his first year on campus but that one year of not been able to play will be his last if all goes according to plan.
