Burd feels his class still has something to prove
Chesterfield (Va.) Matoaca wide receiver Kris Burd (6-foot-2, 185 pounds, 4.5 seconds) knew that Virginia was the school for him all along. On Wednesday, he will sign a letter of intent to make it official that he is headed to UVa to play for Al Groh and the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers' 2007 recruiting class has been recognized as one of the best in the country, but Burd feels that he and his classmates have much to prove.
"I was at UVa two weeks ago and you could feel the excitement in the air. I am confident that Virginia will make some noise really soon," said Burd.
While at UVa, Burd spoke with both Al Groh and his lead recruiter Mike Groh about what to expect early.
