2009 Chicago prospect draws interest
Sophomore guard prospect Chris Colvin, of Whitney Young Magnet High School, has been noted as a top prospect in the state of Illinois for 2009. The six-foot-two Colvin's game has been attracting attention from some high-major programs over this year.
A guard who can mix it up with his excellent passing, as well as able to hit the key basket, Colvin initially turned some heads this past summer in Las Vegas on the AAU circuit for the Illinois Fire. In his sophomore season, Colvin has twice put up 17 point performances, against Glenbrook North HS in January and Lincoln Park HS in December.
Colvin is able to play either guard positions, but the key thing to Colvin is playing the team game and not worrying about individual accolades.
