Forsett ready to breakout in 2007
You can still call Justin Forsett "Tex" if you like. It's no bother. He's the only Lone Star state prospect to play at Cal under California head coach Jeff Tedford, so the handle certainly applies. The nickname was originally given to him by former Cal wideout Burl Toler, and it wasn't just "Tex" back then.
"It was 'J-Tex' when it started," Forsett stated, clearing up the origination. "That's how it first came out. I think a lot of the guys just figured I was from Texas and such, so it was easy to roll with. But I'm a Florida boy at heart. That's where I was raised."
