Plato is a feel good story
One of the more unique stories in the upcoming recruiting cycle belongs to Edwardsville (Ill.) High School athlete Nicholas Plato. The 6-foot-6, 228-pound tight end was on track to be one of the most highly recruited prospects from the Prairie State when everything suddenly changed.
A couple of months earlier he turned an impressive performance at the College Station NIKE Camp and had already received offers from the likes of Oklahoma State, Colorado and Illinois. However, in the August before the start of his senior season he suffered a broken left arm after being involved in a car accident.
That left him in a state of limbo, not only recruiting wise, but from a personal standpoint as well.
