Wilks garnering plenty of early attention

Arguably the best player in the state of Tennessee for 2008 is wide receiver Rodriguez Wilks from Smyrna, Tennessee (Smyrna High School). At 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, Wilks was clocked with a 4.46 at the U.S. Army All-American Combine in San Antonio. As a result, Wilks is no stranger to colleges around the country.

"Tennessee, Michigan, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss has all offered," Smyrna head coach Phil Shadowens said. "I talked to Alabama coaches this week and they indicated that they are getting close to offering."
