Dantonio, Spartans lead for Detroit PSL star

Although Mark Dantonio's first recruiting class at Michigan State did not include any players from the Detroit Public School League (PSL), the Spartans made inroads with the coaches and players in the PSL.

Those inroads may bear fruit this year, as the Spartans are recruiting Detroit hard for the class of 2008. One of the top players in the PSL that the Spartans have their eye on is Detroit Southeastern athlete Charles Burrell.

Burrell, Southeastern's multi-dimensional quarterback, visited Michigan State for the basketball game between the Spartans and Wisconsin and along with taking away memories of a Michigan State win over the nation's No. 1 ranked team, Burrell went back home with a scholarship offer from the Spartans.
