Horns host surprise visitor

It's not easy for a high-profile recruit to slip by the media and the fans when they attend an open practice at The University of Texas. And it's even tougher when the recruit stands 6-foot-2 and tips the scales at close to 300 pounds.

Somehow, Jarvis Humphrey was able to pull it off.

The Cedar Hill defensive tackle was scheduled to spend the weekend at LSU, but he instead pulled a late switch and made the trip to Austin for the Longhorns' junior day on Saturday, his second stop by the Forty Acres in the past two weeks.

According to Humphrey, he picked up an official scholarship offer from the Longhorn staff last week, and he said his list is down to Texas and Oklahoma State.
