Cooper likes what Gophers have to offer

The new coaching staff at Minnesota has put a new focus on the state of Texas when it comes to recruiting. One of the centerpieces of their efforts is Dallas Skyline defensive back Keanon Cooper. While he has yet to speak to any Gopher coaches in person, Cooper knows they love his speed and game changing abilities.

Cooper has yet to talk to any Minnesota coaches, but that does not mean he is not in contact with them. He sends text messages to new defensive line coach Tim Cross on a daily basis.

Minnesota is also hot on the trail of Coopers teammate and best friend Spencer Reeves. Recruiting both of the Skyline stars together could be a very smart strategy for the Gophers. The Gophers are also working on a third Skyline player in Alfred Dupree. Minnesota, Alabama, Texas Tech and Kansas State have both offered both Reeves and Dupree.
