Is an in-state battle on for Landstown's Boyce?

Virginia Beach (Va.) Landstown athlete Xavier Boyce (6-foot-4, 200 pounds, 4.5 seconds) is one of the most versatile players in the state of Virginia for 2008. Boyce, who plays quarterback for Landstown, has been projected to multiple positions on both sides of the ball by the various schools showing interest in him. One school has stepped up and offered the in-state star. Is an in-state battle brewing for Boyce?

Boyce spoke at length with Anthony Poindexter, his lead recruiter Bob Price and Virginia head coach Al Groh.

Virginia Tech has extended an offer to Boyce and Virginia, Florida and Florida State may be close to doing so.
