Versatile quarterback A.J. Blue getting noticed

The 2008 class in North Carolina appears to be deep in talent, much like it was in 2007. There are especially a number of very good athletes among the rising seniors, and one that has made his mark at quarterback is A.J. Blue from North Gaston High in Dallas, N.C.

"Oh gosh everybody in the country is on him," North Gaston head coach Bruce Clark noted. "I understand Virginia Tech is real close to offering him, and so is Clemson."

In addition to those two schools, Clark mentioned some more that have caught the eye of Blue.

"He's interested in NC State, [North] Carolina, Penn State has been on him pretty heavy, so has South Carolina," Clark said. He added that Blue would be attending junior days at Tennessee and Virginia Tech after already having seen Wake Forest.
