Local offensive lineman on Northwestern's radar

Like talent agents trying to cast a movie about professional wrestling, Northwestern coaches clearly have their eyes on big men for their 2008 class. The Wildcats already have offers out to six offensive linemen, and another blocker on their radar is local product Brian Mulroe.

The 260-pound interior lineman from Wilmette (IL) Loyola Academy attended Northwestern's Junior Day on Saturday and walked away very impressed.

Right now, Mulroe is drawing interest from much of the Big Ten - Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State and Minnesota - as well as Boston College and a few Ivy League schools.
