Brown loved USC's junior day

Cheraw (S.C.) wide receiver Jaron Brown was one of several prospects with a South Carolina offer to attend the Gamecocks' junior day over the weekend, and things went well enough to vault USC to the top of his list.

"USC is my leader now," the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Brown said. "Based on what I saw (Saturday), they are at the top now."

Brown, who scored 13 total touchdowns as a junior, offered a snap shot of the junior day festivities.

"The first thing we did after we registered was meet with our position coaches, and for me, that was Steve Spurrier Jr.," Brown said. "He gave us a feel for how his receivers watch film to prepare for the next team they're playing. Then we toured the facilities, and they told us about a lot of the things they're going to be building in the future."
