Jags lands first 2008 commitment

Just weeks ago Eagle Action was recapping Boston College's 2007 recruiting class, but with the first commitment for 2008 the new cycle is officially underway. Today Everett (Mass.) running back Isaac Johnson became the charter member for Jeff Jagodzinski's first official class at Chestnut Hill. Just how did the 5-foot-11, 185-pound junior decide on The Heights?

"I went to the junior day the other week and saw the basketball game against Clemson," said Johnson. "They offered me a scholarship while I was there.

"This was an offer I was really waiting and hoping for," he added. "I grew up a fan of Boston College and have always followed the team.
