Georgia speedster attended USC's junior day

Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge cornerback Cameron Demps is one of the fastest players in the Peach State's class of 2008, having been timed in the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound defender also attended South Carolina's junior day over the weekend.

"I had a good time (at junior day)," Demps said. "I got to learn a lot things about their program that I didn't know before I got there."

Demps, who racked up 56 tackles and seven interceptions as a junior, especially liked his time spent with Gamecock secondary coach Ron Cooper.

"I really like him a lot," Demps said. "We watched film together, and he showed us how they use their cornerbacks. He showed us some of their techniques like how they back pedal, and how they play a lot of man coverage and things like that."
