Offense improves in second scrimmage

Neil Caudle will take it.

His two touchdown passes in Saturday's scrimmage weren't exactly against the best coverage. The defender "covering" walk-on Luster Lewis, who was wide open when he caught a 64-yard scoring toss, wasn't even listed on the scrimmage roster.

The second touchdown, to walk-on John Cubelic, also came against the third-team defense.

But as far as Caudle's concerned, a touchdown's a touchdown. And he has a point.

"It counts in my book," he said with a laugh. "It helps my confidence, just to know that I'm making the right reads out there, making good calls.

"I'm getting more comfortable staying in there, making the right reads."
