Ayers happy to be an Aggie

Euless Trinity junior Josh Ayers always wanted to be an Aggie. In fact, it even seemed like his parents wanted him to be an Aggie.

"I've always lived in Texas and always followed them," he said. "My mom's always liked them and my dad has too."

It turns out that head coach Dennis Franchione and the A&M staff liked him too, and liked him enough to offer him a scholarship earlier this year. Ayers thus became one of 19 commitments in the class of 2008, a class that is shaping up as one of the best in recent memory for the Aggies.
