Mason grabs first offer

The spring is always a busy time for high school prospects. There are camps and combines and junior days and spring ball and that is just the athletic side of life.

For Gary Mason, Jr., or "Tumpy" as he is known to those around him, life is a little busier. The 6-5, 215-pound outside linebacker at Waxahachie is more than a football player. He also throws the shot put and high jumps on the track team and then there is basketball where he standout forward.

Between everything it gets a little hectic.

Mason is receiving college interest from the likes of Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas Tech, and Kansas, and recently picked up his first offer.
