Nashville OL gets big offer

Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy offensive lineman Preston Bailey has picked up a scholarship offer from an Atlantic Coast Conference school that traditionally has one of the strongest football programs in the country.

Bailey has been out of town on spring break during the past week and got good news when he returned.

"Miami recently has offered me," Bailey said. "My headmaster told me that they called the school and offered me a scholarship."

The Hurricanes interest the 6-foot-5, 315-pounder.

"I know that they recently made a coaching change," Bailey said. "Coach Randy Shannon is now the head coach down there. I've actually talked to one of their (Class of 2007) commits, Tyler Horn of Memphis and he told me how he liked it down there and he told me great things about the program."
