JC receiver boasts early offer from CU
If you are looking for a feel good story in the Class of 2008, look no further than Corey Surrency. Once a high school drop out, the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder is now one of the nation's top Junior College wide receiver prospects.
Surrency dropped out of Miami's South Ridge High School in the 11th grade. Although he later received his GED equivalent, Surrency's dream of playing college football appeared dead.
Southern Cal, Colorado, LSU, Connecticut, Oregon, Oregon State and Miami-FL are among the colleges that have shown early interest in Surrency. He recently picked up his first offer from Colorado.
