First commitment talks junior day

Nearly a month ago Everett (Mass.) running back Isaac Johnson became the inaugural member of Boston College's 2008 recruiting class. As a formality, the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder took part in the Eagles' junior day last weekend. Did his first trip to Chestnut Hill as a future Eagle cement his imminent status at The Heights?

"I like everything there," he said. "The academics are good, the football program is big time, and the people are nice. I'm from Brighton, so I'm right in the area.

"I always wanted to go there," he added. "It was the right fit for me."

Johnson even went so far as to virtually eliminate late-comers to his recruiting process.
